I have 1 week left of inpatient internal medicine. I have learned so much and have enjoyed the experience (minus the long hours and no days off) but I am ready to move on!! I don't want to work in a hospital… it's just not the environment I want to be in. I had 2 (two!) job interviews on Tuesday which was super exciting and scary at the same time. I am praying for God to lead me to the right job. I want to love my job and look forward to going to work every day, and I refuse to settle for less than that!

This picture sums up my feelings about Fall. To me, Fall is a new beginning and a fresh start. Life has been stressful the last couple of weeks and I am so ready to move.on.

I saw this dry shampoo on April's blog and immediately went and got a bottle. I love it! I had been unhappy with the dry shampoo I had; it left my hair feeling dirty and wet. This one works so much better!

This article is everything. As women we know how annoying it is to be asked a thousand times "when are y'all going to have kids?" We need to be more sensitive. You never know what someone is going through. They may have been trying to have kids for years. She may have just suffered a miscarriage. Hell, she may be focusing on her marriage and her career right now. The same goes for "when are you going to get married?" because Lord knows I used to get asked that every day. Read here.

If you know me at all, you know that I am a major planner. Like, if it's not written in my planner then it isn't happening. I have a planner with me at all times and look at it approx. 500 times a day. Well I was SO excited when May Designs let me design my own planner and is giving one of my readers a planner as well! Any color, design, and layout! I love that their planners are small enough to throw right into your purse but big enough to be able to write everything down. Be sure to enter below!
Congrats on the interviews, God has your plan in His hands. You will find the perfect job, I know it. I am a huge fan of May Books, they are FABULOUS and the price is on point.
ReplyDeleteOH my goodness, the kids question. Everyone expects you to want kids right away and I'm like "NO!". Just because I'm not obsessed with getting pregnant right away doesn't mean I don't want to be a MOM someday, so why do people feel it's okay to say 'alright, it's time for you'. I let married friends tell me when they are having kids on their own, no need to ask the question because like you said, you never know if it's a choice or a struggle. Sending you a hug from someone who gets it! <3
Umm herbal essences has a dry shampoo - I need to get it this weekend!!! That is one of the questions I get asked all the time - we've been married for 2 1/2 years and honestly I was only 26 when we got married and not even thinking about babies yet!! Now it's almost daily and I just tell people they'll clearly see when I'm pregnant lol!! I feel like I can't have water or anything else to drink besides alcohol when I'm out with family or friends because they'll automatically assume! Thanks for the great giveaway girl! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteYay for only one week left of internal medicine! Hopefully your next schedule is better! I love that dry shampoo too. I was using some other people raved about but that one is the only one I love so far. Yes, yes yes to the kids article! Hope you have a great weekend love! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteAutumn Gargen is my favorite. May Book patern
ReplyDeleteYour planner is so cute! Love :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you that you had those two interviews and you're almost done with this part of everything--its great to get knowledge but if you don't like it, you don't like it. I saw the article that you mentioned and you already know I'm on board with everything that you're feeling :)
That Fall sentiment is perfect. I think I'm gonna pin that :)
Congrats on your job interviews!!! That's so exciting! I just bought 2 bottles of Suave dry shampoo but once they run out, I've gotta remember to try the one you have. Love Love May Designs planners! I've been getting one for Christmas the pas 2 years and love mine! Yours is so adorable! Hope I win so hubby doesn't have to buy one for Christmas this year ;)

ReplyDeleteI love the planner! So cute!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that fall quote!!! And yay, for job interviews - I will be praying that God opens the right doors (and, He always does!).
ReplyDeleteAmen to that article. Something I also hate is when you have one child and people immediately inquire when you're going to have another. So annoying!
ReplyDeleteI also saw that dry shampoo and need to try it!
I agree with the article. Also I can't live without my planner. Literally nothing would get done without it. I love all of the watercolor designs.
ReplyDeleteYay for job interviews! And even better about May Designs! I LOVE them so much! I use their notebooks for everythingggg. Hope you have a great weekend, friend! xo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the interviews! I loved your link to the article on asking women about having kids. I chose to have kids early but none of my friends did and you never know what someone is going through! Love dry shampoo! I use Oribe which is great but will have to try yours too! Have a wonderful weekend!

Your planner is darling :) I will be on the lookout for the dry shampoo - I can't even count how many I've tried!!
ReplyDeleteThat planner is adorable. I think my favorite design is the Watercolor Blossoms.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being so close to the finish line! That is awesome! That quote is fantastic. I found it on pinterest the other day and fell in love with it.
I love that planner! I might need to try that dry shampoo, I'm always looking for something new.

I love the May planners, I have two of them and just love them. As for that dry shampoo, I bought it once and thought the smell was terrible. It was so bad that I threw it away. My friend loves it though and thinks I just got a bad can or something.
ReplyDeleteI hope your interviews went well and I know God will lead you in the right direction. I love May Books too and I'm loving the BCA Rugby Stripe print.
ReplyDeleteI hope your interviews went well! I love the Emily Ley gold foil pineapple design from May Designs!
