5 favorite christmas ornaments

Friday, December 11, 2015

For my Five on Friday, I'm talking about my 5 favorite ornaments. Every year I look forward to decorating our tree because there are so many ornaments that bring back such great memories. I love collecting them through the years and remembering when and where I got them.

This "D" ornament was gifted to me from Garrett's cousin right after we got engaged [Hi, Megan!]. It was the first thing I had gotten with my new name/initial. It was also so special because it made me feel like I was officially being welcomed into his family.

We are slightly obsessed with our furry girl so when I got this ornament in my stocking from my mom a few years back, I fell in love!

After we got married our wedding photographer gave us this adorable ornament with one of our wedding pictures inside. How creative and awesome is that?! If I could get super motivated I'd love to make more of these. They would make the perfect gift for family or friends.

This cross ornament is a reminder of the true reason for Christmas: Jesus' birthday! It is so easy to get caught up in the presents and decorations and parties and forget why we really celebrate Christmas. I pray that I constantly remember this.

We were gifted this ornament for our wedding and of course it's one of our favorites! Being that we met at UNC Chapel Hill, we are both Tar Heels through and through!

Do you have ornaments that are extra special to you? Linking up with April and Amanda today!

  11. Someone in my neighborhood was out walking their GSP puppy the other day and I thought of you. My sisters and I have gotten ornaments from Santa and our grandmother every year since we were born. Practically all of my ornaments have special meaning and while I'm not a huge Christmas decor fanatic, they are all special to me!
