This weekend was bliss. We packed in so much that I feel accomplished and ready for a new week! I was desperately craving quality time with my husband, and we got lots of it! Plus lots of family time too!
Friday after my big exam I headed to the gym then it was date night. I was so excited to get a yummy dinner with my husband, just the two of us. We even went to a bar after to get a few drinks and were still in bed by 10:30… my kind of night ;) #grandmastatus
Saturday morning our local Ronald McDonald House had a "character breakfast" that me, my sister, and my mom took my niece to. She was SO excited to wear her "candy princess dress" and meet Ana and Elsa. I just love her and love watching how excited she gets over simple things! Also, I was in charge of my nephew and let me tell you, I was sweating my butt off carrying him in that Baby Bjorn. Total mom status right there… wearing a baby with a camera on my shoulder.
The rest of the day was spent napping, cleaning our house from top to bottom, and going to the gym. Saturday night we went to my dad's house to watch football. My alma mater UNC was playing and so was our hometown team ECU, so we had multiple tv's on. It was so great to sit back, relax, and watch football! And UNC won which made the night even better!
Sunday we skipped church to head 2 hours west and meet our new cousin. G's first cousin and his wife just had their second baby, Winston Thomas Wooten. He is perfection! #babyfever
The rest of the day was spent at the gym, cooking crockpot chicken chili, watching football, and prepping for the week ahead! Today is my first day at my inpatient internal medicine rotation. I have to be at the hospital every day at 6:30am and only get 3 days off all month. It's going to be intense but hoping that I learn a lot!
Your date night sounds like a perfect date night to me. Grandma status or not ;)
