Coffee talk + a few confessions

If we were having coffee together I may tell you...

-My daughter inherited my high strung personality. She isn't the most laid back baby ever... not even close. She will entertain herself for maybe 10 minutes tops on her play mat or jumparoo then she's ready to move on to the next activity. I was hoping she'd be super laid back like her daddy but NOPE, girlfriend has a temper and is very impatient! Love her to death though.

-My eyelashes have always been super thick and long but during pregnancy/postpartum they got thin and fell out like crazy. However, I just cannot justify spending $150 on R&F lash boost. April told me about Rapidlash and said it worked wonders for her. Has anyone used either of these products?

-It makes me sad that people no longer send handwritten thank you notes. Snail mail makes me so happy and our generation has just completely stopped sending it thanks to electronics and cell phones. I make a point to write thank you notes for everything and I wish others would too.

-Speaking of thank you notes, it also makes me sad when people aren't thankful when you do something for them. It's like our generation feels entitled. I expect nothing in return when I do things for people but a simple "thank you" text after I take you a home cooked meal would be nice.

-Am I crazy to already want another baby?! I mean, you might as well have all the babies before you get used to sleeping through the night, right?! Remind me that I am saying this tonight during witching hour ;)

-Yesterday I went to David's Bridal to get fitted for my bridesmaid's dress for my best friend's wedding in November and let's just say their sizing does not give you a boost of confidence. Nothing like a dress fitting at 4 months postpartum #thingslookdifferent

-I attempted to go to the gym yesterday and I left Vivi in the nursery. They had to come get me twice in 30 minutes because she was crying so I packed up and left. At least I tried, right?

-Real mom talk: Vivi is dealing with some constipation issues. We give her an ounce or so of prune juice a few times a day when she starts to get constipated and that seems to work but I hate that it's a constant cycle. Any tips for this issue?

That's all I've got today. If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

  1. For babies who are constipated, anything with a P(pears, peaches, prunes, plums).

And no-shopping for anything for a wedding is terrible. My dress was a terrible size even though it was the same size as my normal clothes. Just make all clothing the same!!

  2. Ugh anything relating to wedding dress shopping whether a bridesmaid dress or a wedding dress is the worst. It's like reverse vanity sizing!

  3. My friend gifted me the R&F lash boost and it is a miracle worker! (I totally couldn't justify buying it either - until I used it!) I had to stop using it daily and go to twice a week bc of the results! I haven't tried the one April mentioned but her lashes look great so I'd say its worth a shot! Also, snail mail is my jam! Want me to send ya'll something? haha I'm obsessed with stationary and wish people would totally bring back the art of a simple thank you! Have a great week friend! xo

  4. There is nothing like getting a handwritten thank you note! In fact, I even wrote a thank you note to the little girls whose mom gave me their old baby clothes for our new baby!

  5. I love sending and receiving regular mail - I so wish it was done more often! I love the holidays because that's one of the only times we get a lot of mail.

  6. I can't believe people don't send thank you cards anymore! Definitely something I will be forcing onto our kids ;) I know I'm not one to talk but my friend's baby has constipation issues too and she uses prunes and let's her jump in the exerciser and it pushes things out lol!!! The snaps I get from her and quite amusing ;)

  7. We use the UpSpring Probiotic for Charlee. It worked wonders keeping her tummy issues under control.

  8. I wore a David's bridal bridesmaid gown earlier this year for my friends wedding and I concur.

  9. It drives me crazy when people can't even take the time to say thank you for something that was done for them... grr... It's not cheap either, but I've heard tons of people rave about the NuLash that's part of the Nsale!

  10. I can't handle ungrateful people and those who don't write thank-you notes make me want to rage. It takes five minutes! Knox had some constipation issues and gripe water always seemed to help him. I need to try that lash stuff; after two babies, mine are super thin and used to be thick and long and full!!

  12. We have forever been dealing with constipation issues with Hadley, too - not much works besides giving her a daily dose of prunes, lol. Going to be stalking these comments to see what everyone else suggests!

  13. get the rapidlash instead of spending money on the lash boost. I've been using rapidlash for about two years, and my eyelashes are insanely long. My optometrist (a male) even commented on them. Also, I'm so with you on thank you notes.

  16. I'm with you on the thank yous and thank you notes. I sent a gift to a friend's daughter two months ago and I have no idea if it arrived or not. It feels super awkward to ask, but I'd like to know if I wasted my money.... just say thank you. It's not that hard. :(
